Claude
Monet (1840 - 1926)
Claude Monet
was born on 14th November 1840 in Paris, France.
Claude Monet

Impressionists. The term Impressionism
derives from his picture Impression: Sunrise.
When a title
was needed in a hurry for the catalogue of the exhibition in 1874,
Monet suggested simply Impression, and the catalogue editor,
Renoir's brother Edouard, added an explanatory Sunrise.
Claude Monet
died on December 5th. He was burried in his family grave at Giverny,
in the presence of Georges Clémenceau.
