Eiffel
Tower - Paris
The
Eiffel Tower in was built in Paris
for the Universal Exhibition of 1889 and to commemorate the centennial
of the Revolution.
At
324 metres high (1063 feet), the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel) was
meant to be a temporary addition to the Paris skyline, but still
stands today.
The
Eiffel Tower was designed by Gustav Eiffel and was the tallest building
in the world until 1931 when the Empire State Building was completed
in New York.
